Appearance: A young man with dark brown eyes and dark brown hair. His face is almost always in a scowl. Wears a standard shihakusho but ties his sash at the side, leaving the ends trailing longer than normal

Personality: Short-fused. He seems to have issues with women, especially those ranked higher than him. Any little slight he takes out of proportions.


---Bio---
A troublemaker from birth, Ranmaru came from the roughest parts of the Rukongai. He grew up as an only child with his Mother, who abused him for not real reason, other than he looked exactly like his Father who disappeared before he was born.

He entered the Shino Academy at the same time that Katrina was placed there, and graduated a year and a half after her. While Katrina was still at the Academy, he kept trying to hit on her, only to have her not even notice him or his advances. His actions did attract the attention of the two Assistant Captains who taught classes at the Academy. Hisagi and Kira made it a point to keep their eye on him to protect Katrina and any other female cadets he may be targeting.

Of all the female cadets he picked on, the one that infuriated Ranmaru most was Katrina. He could not or would not understand why she looked so vacant or why she never acknowledged his existence. For that alone, he went out of his way to keep trying to harass her, only to be rebuffed not by her, but by Hisagi or Kira.

After graduation, he was placed in 9th Company as the new Eighth Seat under Captain Muguruma and Assistant Captain Hisagi. Ranmaru harbored resentment both at being placed as an Eighth Seat instead of a higher rank and that he now had to directly report to one of the Assistant Captains who always stopped him back in the Academy.

But what angered him the most wasn’t finding out that Katrina was in a steady relationship with Assistant Captain Kira, but that she still didn’t really acknowledge his existence.

He later finds out, after a chance encounter with his Mother, that his father was a Quincy. While it answered a lot of his questions, it also brought up a lot more.

ETA Feb. 2013: He's currently finding himself in a budding relationship with Pandora Takano, the Fourth Seat of 5th Company.
