My current primary fandoms are Bleach and Mortal Kombat. Aside from images, I also write a Bleach Fan Fic that has slight Mortal Kombat references and slight cross over.

Scene depiction contestWelcome to my first contest here on DA. I used to have contests back when I maintained my own Mortal Kombat Fan Fiction and Fan Art Galleries back in the dinosaur age of 1999...ANYWAY...

For my first contest the subject would be to depict a scene from one of the chapters of my Bleach fan fic series, Damaged: http://fav.me/d4q95uc . Yes it can be construed as a devious ploy to get people to read my fan fic, but I also want to see if my writing is visualized the same way by the reader :)

The Bond of Despair and Hope (by NanFe)

This is representative of the atmosphere surrounding Chapters 35 through 37, where Katrina's past was fully revealed to her and the subsequent aftermath.

The red reiatsu/reishi ribbon represents the bond that formed between Katrina and Kira throughout my series. The back to back pose with Katrina leaning against Kira signifies that he has her back no matter how dark the path goes for her. The haunted look in both of their eyes states that they will both be plagued by their pasts no matter how much they try to put it behind them

The Left is a piece I commissioned from *NanFe as a scene variant of Chapter 17 of my Bleach Fan Fic series, Damaged . This is after Katrina's Zanpakuto spirit(s) Miasma ran amok and attacked both her and Kira.

The right is my second commission from her, representing chapter 3 of Damaged, where she sees Byakuya Kuchiki's scarf and flashes back to the moment where she died in the tournament.

*NanFe is amazing. Please watch and maybe commission if the style of art reaches you like it does me.

Journal Entry: Tue May 15, 2012, 9:54 AM

I had to leave the office for lunch. I can't eat at my desk because I am tired of the "Oh I know you're at lunch, but..."

If I sound tense lately, it's work related. There's too much depending on me and frankly I am close to burning out. My stress relief has been writing fic and doing art, but my home computer has been adding more stress by freezing up often now. So the awesome settings I've just started using for my 3D work I can't use now.

Fic writing is going better. I can access Google Docs on the iPhone and I'm currently working on chapter 41. The Mortal Kombat revision is on hold as I have to rewrite the beginning.

Sorry for the rant. I just had to let some steam out before I head back to work.

I've been doing Fan Art (and Fan Fiction) since 1999. Primarily Mortal Kombat, but dabbled in other fandoms. From there I started doing digital artwork using Poser as my primary tool.
